World class: the World Class Chassis (WCFplus) in line with car standards.
For all lovers of driving comfort as is found when travelling in a car: under the auspices of Böckmann, a company steeped in tradition and located in Lastrup, in the southern part of Oldenburg Land, the coil spring chassis designed by the Westphalian Works of Franz Knoebel and Sons KG has been further developed. Into a World Class chassis in line with car standards (WCFplus) and which is permitted to travel at 100 km/h. A large selection of Böckmann horse trailers has now not only been lowered by up to 100 mm - for more ease of loading - but has also been given the optional extra of this innovative chassis. In this way, in future, quality “Made in Germany” will meet the high demands of all those looking for driving comfort as is found in cars. What makes a chassis a World Class chassis exhibiting car standards? It is one which sets benchmarks for the transporting of horses in three different ways:
Firstly: the chassis
• frame with individually mounted triangular stabilisers
• maintenance-free coil springs and matching shock absorbers for ultimate driving safety and road and lane-holding
• specially lowered chassis for particularly low loading heights despite large car tyres produced in series to be adapted for “100 km/h”
Secondly: the suspension
• single wheel suspension – optimally tailored to match the suspension system, with triangular stabilisers
• extremely smooth ride
Thirdly: road-holding
• excellent lane-holding
• ultimate driving safety - also when taking bends at high speed
• single wheel suspension with coil springs as in cars
